The Utah Jazz will be at home against the Dallas Mavericks seeking to get back to winning ways in the NBA. More than 10 games separate these two in the West standings with the Mavs in eighth having the advantage over the 12th-placed Jazz. The Jazz are close to being eliminated from playoff contention. Will Hardy’s men have struggled all season long and are currently 13 games below .500. They are 7.5 games from the play-in places with 11 matches left to play in the regular season. Utah have lost their last five matches and have won just three times in their last 19 outings. They did however produce an emphatic win the last time Dallas were in town. They won 127-90 back in January. A second win will see them split this series. Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen have been ruled out with injuries for this game. The Jazz, who lost 147-119 to the Rockets last time out, have averaged 107.7 points over their last three matches.

The Mavericks have been in excellent form in the second half of March. This has allowed them to maintain their pursuit of an automatic playoff spot. Both of their wins against Utah have been at home. The Mavericks have compiled a 41-29 record and are tied with the seventh-placed Kings. They sit half a game from the top six. Josh Green remains sidelined with an ankle issue while Maxi Kleber is questionable. The Mavs have averaged 111.0 points over their last three fixtures.
