Utah Jazz are top of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. It's a tight division though and they need a win over Atlanta Hawks who are second in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference. The Jazz have a 7-4 season record and overall are fourth in the Western Conference, Of 11 games played, only three have been on their home court with six out of eight on the road being won. After a couple of early January losses, Utah have won their last three games, the most recent being a 30 point victory over Cleveland. Donovan Mitchell is on top form with 87 points in his last three matches, not good news for the Hawks.

Atlanta are second behind Orlando Magic in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference. They have a 5-5 season record but have lost both of their games against other sides in their division. Overall, they are seventh in the Eastern Conference, so a place in the play-offs definitely can't be ruled out. The Hawks haven't made a great start to the new year with four losses in a row before getting a win over Philadelphia. They have injury worries for this game with Capela,Rondo and Bogdanovic unlkely to be playing. That tips the balance even more in favour of their opponents and the Jazz can continue their good run.
