Japan have certainly had an eventful tournament, that is for sure. They began with a shock win over South Africa, lost to Scotland and then beat Samoa. Two wins out of three but by the time this game begins their hopes of reaching the quarter finals may be over. A win for Scotland over Samoa on Saturday will end Japan's dreams of qualification and they'll be guaranteed third place in the pool.  But what is Samoa were to shock Scotland the day before this game?  That would mean a win for Japan here would take them into the last eight for the first time.  Japan were impressive in their win over Samoa winning 26-5, a repeat of that performance should see them gain a good win over the USA on Sunday regardless of the significance of the end result.  USA have lost all three of their games so far but their results have become progressively worse. They only lost by nine points to Samoa in their opening game, then lost to Scotland by 23 points. It all went further downhill as they lost 64-0 to South Africa in their last game.  A Japan win and one overcoming the handicap for this bet looks the most likely result here and will end a promising campaign.
