Uganda vs Congo Republic Prediction & Betting Tips - AFCON

The second round of matches in Group K of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will see Uganda taking on Congo at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala on Monday. The Cranes are in second place in the group, while the Red Devils lead the standings. Check out our match prediction below.

Uganda looked as though they were going to pull off an against-the-odds victory over South Africa in their opening match of qualifying but conceded a late goal which saw the match end in a 2-2 draw. 

With that result, the Cranes are now aiming to avoid a third consecutive match without a victory. Over their last five games, they have a record of one win, two draws and two losses. 

Over the years, Uganda have reached the AFCON main draw on seven occasions but not since the 2018-19 competition when they were knocked out in the last 16 by Senegal. 

Meanwhile, Congo made a winning start to their AFCON qualifiers, beating South Sudan 1-0 at home with Hatayspor’s Chandrel Massanga scoring the only goal of the match early in the first half.

That victory brought an end to a five-match winless run for the Red Devils, which included three defeats and two draws dating back to March last year.

Congo have only won one of their last 10 away matches in all competitions and have failed to beat their upcoming opponent in their last three attempts, drawing once and losing twice.
