After a thrilling 4-4 draw at Old Trafford on Monday, Bournemouth host Burnley this weekend. The Cherries are 13th in the Premier League with the visitors only having Wolves below them in the table. Read our match prediction below.
It may have been a great game to watch on Monday but it was a frustrating one for Bournemouth. Scoring four goals on the road really should have ended their winless run. Their defence is so leaky though (28 league goals conceded this season) that all they earned was a point. The Cherries are still only five points adrift of the final Champions League place but are only eight above the relegation zone.
Burnley are in the bottom three but have only won two fewer league games than Bournemouth. They are six points from safety and another brief stay in the Premier League is looking likely. Losing seven out of eight away league games hasn't exactly helped the Clarets. Can they win this weekend?

Bournemouth - Burnley: Form Analysis
Seven Premier League games have been played by Bournemouth since their last win. Their last two league games have both been drawn but that first win since the end of October remains an elusive one.
Home form is disappointing for the Cherries.
Bournemouth have failed to win any of their last three home league games. Two of those matches were drawn, most recently a goalless draw against Chelsea. Four of their eight home league games have been won with the only loss being inflicted by Everton.
Those four wins came during their impressive start to this season. They need to recapture some of that form after failing to score in their last two home league fixtures.
Burnley are in the relegation zone and battling hard to avoid an immediate return to the Championship. The Clarets lost at home to Fulham last weekend, their 12th league defeat of the season. They are points from safety and can’t let that gap widen too much more.
Away form has been a big problem for them since they returned to the Premier League. Like most teams, they won at Wolves but Burnley’s other seven away league games have all been lost with 23 goals conceded, including the last three.

Bournemouth & Burnley Squad Analysis
Ghana failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament. Bad news for them but not Bournemouth as it means key player Antoine Semenyo won't be among the many African players in the Premier League who will be playing in that tournament.
It may be the final weeks that Semenyo is a Bournemouth player with several top Premier League clubs looking to sign him in January. Also not going to Africa is Amine Adli who failed to make it into Morocco's squad. Tyler Adams will miss this game due to injury.
The 4-4 draw at Old Trafford was good and bad news for Bournemouth. It was good to see them scoring four goals but they so need to tighten up at the back if they want to get into European contention. Some more bad results could see them dragged into a relegation battle.
Big problems for Burnley.
Burnley must start earning some points on the road. Just three have been earned so far this season with seven out of eight games being lost. They don't have a strong home record to fall back on either.
Now comes a busy festive period and the news regarding the Africa Cup of Nations isn't so good for the Clarets. Lyle Foster, Hannibal Mejbri and Axel Tuanzebe are all playing in the tournament.
With several injuries to deal with as well, Burnley have a massive battle on their hands.

Our Bournemouth vs Burnley Prediction
Both clubs will be hoping for a pre-Christmas confidence boost this weekend. Bournemouth may have scored four goals at Old Trafford but their defence remains untrustworthy. A good run of results though would again see them challenging for a place in European competition next season.
Burnley can only dream of that and avoiding relegation is their target. The Clarets have managed to score 11 away league goals this season but 23 have been conceded. Our main Bournemouth v Burnley prediction is BTTS.
