One of the top picks in the Premier League this weekend will be the London derby as Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea face off. Tottenham will go into the weekend sitting third on 17 points, while their visitors have dropped to ninth but are just three points behind. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be the venue for this top clash, and below we have the match prediction.
The two London rivals will enter the game off the back of contrasting performances in the League Cup in midweek. Tottenham were dumped out by a resolute Newcastle United and will be looking for some league consolation.
On the other hand, Chelsea survived a late scare after losing a healthy lead at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Blues, however, held on to advance with a 4-3 win. Both sides are dealing with long injury lists, as we will come to see in this preview. Last season Chelsea won both legs of this fixture.

Tottenham - Chelsea: Form Analysis
One thing that has lacked in Tottenham’s season is consistency, and manager Thomas Frank alluded to that in his post-match comments after the Everton game.
Spurs became the first to beat Everton at the Toffees' new home. Despite the 3-0 win, Frank called for a better showing in attack.
That was, however, not reflected in their next outing, a League Cup game, which ended in a 2-0 loss to Newcastle United. The North Londoners are left with just two wins in seven matches and are winless in three home league matches.
The last time they hosted Chelsea, it ended in defeat as well.
Spurs conceded eight goals in their last two home matches against Chelsea.
Off the back of their performance in this fixture last season, Chelsea will go into this game feeling they can add to Spurs’ woes. In the last eight away matches at Spurs, Chelsea have only lost once and won six times.
Such dominance, married with the Blues’ recent away form, should offer a big lift. Chelsea have three straight wins away from home.
A much-changed Chelsea squad survived a massive scare away to Wolves in the League Cup on Wednesday. They led 3-0 in the game but in the end escaped with a 4-3 victory.
Back to full strength, Enzo Maresca’s men will be looking to respond after their 2-1 loss to Sunderland last time out in teh league.

Tottenham & Chelsea Squad Analysis
Tottenham’s inconsistent results have in part been occasioned by injuries to almost half the squad. The team has about 10 players missing with various issues.
The defensive duo of Cristian Romero and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario are being touted for returns to the team, and this will be key.
Romero, who has featured in seven matches this season, providing one assist, has been missing since mid-October with a muscle injury.
Vicario, meanwhile, featured against Everton, keeping a fourth clean sheet, but had to be left out in midweek after feeling some pain. He should be okay for this game, though.
Tottenham Hotspur have up to 10 players missing with injury.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will once again have slimmer attacking options for this game. Liam Delap, who hasn’t had a decent run in the team, is set to serve a one-match suspension.
The youngster was sent off at Wolves in midweek. Estevao’s fine start to life in London continued in midweek with yet another goal, and the Brazilian will definitely be in line for a start.
As for Cole Palmer, it is another week of battling a groin injury. This match comes too soon for the England international.
