The struggling Toronto Raptors will look to put an end to their losing run when they host the red-hot LA Clippers on Friday. Toronto has fallen to 16-28 on the season, placing them 12th in the Eastern Conference and two games behind the Atlanta Hawks for a spot in the play-in tournament. Their most recent game was a 108-100 home loss to the Grizzlies, marking the team’s third consecutive defeat and their eighth loss in the last 10 overall. Toronto is clearly in rebuild mode as they opted to ship away their star player in Pascal Siakam as well as OG Anunoby in order to acquire draft picks and young talent in the form of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. The Raptors are just 4-8 since the trade to acquire Barrett from the Knicks. The Raptors are 10-12 on their home court this season compared to just 6-16 on the road.

The Clippers come into this matchup seeking their fourth straight victory following a 127-116 win over city rivals the LA Lakers. With eight wins from their last 10 overall, the Clips have shot up the standings to fourth where they now sit just 2.5 games behind conference leading Minnesota. Los Angeles have done the majority of their damage at the Crypto.com Arena where they have a stellar 19-4 record. On the road, however, the Clippers have struggled with a sub .500 record after winning just nine of their 19 games. The star-studded roster which includes Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, James Harden and Russell Westbrook means the Clippers have a number of different ways to hurt teams. Their biggest strength perhaps is their three-point shooting where they rank first in the entire NBA in shooting percentage from deep at 40.1%.
