South Africa know full well that they simply cannot afford any more mistakes if they want to reach the quarter finals of the Rugby Union World Cup, let alone win it.  Samoa are already two points ahead of South Africa and a win for Scotland over Japan would see South Africa begin this game in fourth place. That narrow defeat to Japan at least earned the South Africans two bonus points - one for scoring four tries and another for losing by less than seven points. Why you should get bonus points for losing is beyond me but it gives South Africa a chance to win this game well and get back on track.  When you lose a game and your coach has to apologize to the whole nation, you know that it's important you go out and win your next game and that's what I think the Springboks will do. Samoa aren't an easy side to beat though and have their own dreams of qualification after beating the USA in their opening game. They are ranked 10th in the world (though they'll most likely drop out of the top ten after the Scotland v Japan game) and have had many wins over top nations in their history but never against South Africa. Eight games have resulted in eight South African wins by an average of 36 points per loss. South Africa should sort themselves out and make it nine out of nine.
