Second placed Saracens look to win a sixth match in this season's English Premiership. To achieve that they need to get a home win over sixth placed Northampton Saints. Saracens are currently three points behind leaders Sale Sharks who play at Harlequins on Friday evening. They have won five of their seven games in the English Premiership this season. The new season didn't get off to a good start for them with a 65-10 thrashing at Exeter Chiefs. That was followed by a 25-16 home loss to Bath. Since then though it's all gone much better for them and a win over Northampton Saints will make it six league wins in a row. Last weekend saw them come from a half-time deficit to get a 39-31 win at home against Bristol. That was the fourth game in a row in which Saracens have scored at least 30 points. Two of their last three home games have ended in victory.

Northampton Saints are three points behind their opponents after the first seven games of the new English Premiership season. They have won four of their seven games and last time out had a 36-33 home win over Harlequins. On the road this season they have lost two of their three fixtures. Defeats have come at Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers, both by single-figure margins. Their only away win came at bottom-of-the-table Newcastle Falcons, but only by a couple of points.
