The Los Angeles Clippers begin the weekend, second in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. They will be confident of racking up win number nine of the season with victory at Pacific Division bottom side, the Sacramento Kings. The Clippers go into this game with an 8-4 record for the season, that puts them two wins behind division leaders and defending NBA champions, the LA Lakers. Overall, the Clippers are second in the Western Conference and should be able to strengthen that position this weekend. Two of their last three games have ended in victory with Golden State and Chicago being beaten. The other game was a loss at the Warriors, that's only their second away defeat in six games played this season.

Another is unlikely at the struggling Sacramento Kings. They lie bottom of the Pacific Division with a 5-7 record for the season. Of their 12 games this season, eight have been played at home so they'd expect to have a better record at this stage. Overall, the Kings are 12th in the Western Conference so need more wins to make it into the play-offs. Sacramento began the season with two wins but then followed that with four losses in the next five games. Two of their last three games have been lost, though they did get a home win over Indiana. Their defence is not strong enough to cope with the Clippers who can get a fifth away win of the season.
