Sacramento Kings vs Dallas Mavericks Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA

The Sacramento Kings will be at home to welcome the Dallas Mavericks again for the second game of a back-to-back between the two. One game separates the two teams in the West standings with the sixth-placed Mavericks having the advantage over the eighth-placed Kings. The Kings were humiliated in the first game by the Mavs and lost by 36 points after allowing them 132 points. The loss snapped a two-game winning run and saw them drop deeper into the play-in places. This isn’t where they want to be and have 10 more games to try and secure a top-six finish. Mike Brown’s men had won the first two matchups of the season with the Mavs with both coming on the road. Kevin Huerter and Trey Lyles have been ruled out for this game with injuries while Aleksandar Vezenkov is questionable. The Kings, who have compiled a 42-30 record, have seen their scoring numbers drop in recent outings. They have averaged 104.3 points over their last three games which is more than 12 points fewer than their average for the season.

The Mavericks on their part have improved in this regard as they have continued their hot streak. They have averaged 120 points over their last three matches. Jason Kidd’s men have been one of the form teams in the NBA for the last two weeks or so, winning nine of their last 10 fixtures. Their blowout victory over the Kings was their fifth in a row. This improved their record to 43-29. Dallas have taken control of the race for the top six and are now half a game clear of their closest challengers. They however have a tough run-in and will hope their form persists. Luka Doncic led all other scorers last time out against the Kings as he put up 28 points. He is dealing with an Achilles issue and is questionable to play. Maxi Kleber is also 50/50 to play while Josh Green is out.
