Real Madrid will welcome Olympiacos for Game Four of the two teams’ EuroLeague quarter-final playoff matchup on Thursday. They trail the series 2-1 and seek to tie things up and avoid elimination. Read on to find our prediction for this match.
Real Madrid have this as a do-or-die game. Chus Matteo’s men gave their season a lifeline by winning Game Three 80-72. Edy Tavares led the team with 15 points while Dzanan Musa and Mario Hezonja added 14 points each.
Turnovers have been a crippling issue for Los Blancos in this series. In Game Three, Madrid lost possession 11 times to take their tally to 48, which is the worst record in these playoffs.
Olympiacos have also struggled with turnovers, but in Game Three, they had their worst tally in this stat. Georgios Bartzokas’s men, who had won all four meetings this season with Real before the tie switched to Madrid, had 14 turnovers.
Nigel Williams-Goss, scorer of 17 points, turned the ball over a team-high four times. The guard and former MVP, Sasha Vezenkov, carried the offensive load for the visitors in the absence of Evan Fournier.
Vezenkov put up a game-high 21 points and also grabbed nine boards. Fournier, who is averaging 15 points in the postseason, missed Game Three with an ankle injury. He is doubtful for this game, and so too are Tyler Dorsey and Keenan Evans.
