Portugal topped Group H after winning their opening two matches and were able to hold on to the top spot despite losing 2-1 to South Korea in the final matchday. Portugal went ahead early in the fifth minute of the match but would eventually succumb to the hard-working Korean team who netted the winner in the 91st minute to secure themselves a spot in the final 16. The loss ended a solid run of three straight victories for the Portuguese but it was also their third loss in the last seven outings.
