Portsmouth are on the rise after a slow start to the season, and will be eyeing three points when they meet Norwich City. Pompey will start this game sitting in the drop zone while Norwich are 10th. Below is our prediction for the match.

For the first time this season, Portsmouth have recorded three straight matches without defeat. They are coming from a 3-0 win at home to Bristol City. That was just their third win of the season, but the second straight at home.                                        

They’ve scored eight times in the three matches and the hosts will be confident coming into this game. 

While Portsmouth are enjoying a good run, Norwich are licking wounds after a 3-0 beating by struggling QPR. That defeat left the Canaries six points below the top six.

Johannes Thorup’s charges will be keen to avoid another loss here, which would jeopardize their already shaky top-six ambitions. The defeat to QPR came in their first away match after playing the earlier two matches at home. 

A big chunk of Norwich’s troubles this season have been exposed in their away matches. Across their 11 away matches, they’ve managed just two wins yet they face Portsmouth, who have back-to-back home wins.
