The Portland Trail Blazers will be at home to welcome the in-form Denver Nuggets for the two’s final NBA regular season fixture. Denver are currently second in the West standings while the Blazers are second from bottom. Portland will be seeking to avoid a sweep here after losing the first three matchups with Denver. They will however have to be at their absolute best if they are to get it done. The Blazers have been poor all season and have already been eliminated from playoff contention. They have compiled a 19-50 record and are currently on a five-game skid. They were defeated 125-117 last time out in the final game of a back-to-back at home with the Clippers. Rookie Scoot Henderson led his team in scoring with 24 points and provided a further 10 assists. The Blazers, who are on the second night of a back-to-back, have been hampered by injuries all season long. Against the Clippers, they were without Jerami Grant, Malcolm Brogdon, Deandre Ayton, and Matisse Thybulle.

The Nuggets have been one of the form teams since the All-Star break. Mike Malone’s men have won 13 of their last 15 games. One of those wins was a 127-112 success the last time they were in Portland. Currently, on a two-game winning run, Denver have gotten themselves right in the mix for top spot in the West. They have won 49 games, the same as conference leaders OKC, but trail them by half a game. The Nuggets are coming off a 113-100 home win over the Knicks. They have a tough run-in to conclude the season and will know they cannot afford to lose games against lowly-ranked opposition. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are both questionable for this game. The two are the Nuggets’ leading scorers and combined for over 50 points against the Knicks.
