The Philadelphia 76ers take on the Dallas Mavericks at the Wells Fargo Center for this Wednesday night clash in the NBA. The Mavericks are floundering at the moment and face a very real risk of missing out on the playoffs. Dallas made a huge move at the trade deadline to acquire Kyrie Irving from the Nets in a trade that signaled to the rest of the league that they are going all-in to win now. However, Irving and superstar Luka Doncic have clearly failed to gel as the Mavericks have now lost 13 of their 20 games since the trade. Their last game saw Dallas bounce back, ending a four game losing streak with a 128-120 win over the Pacers. The Mavs now sit 11th in the standings with a record of 36 wins and 39 losses. As things currently stand, Dallas would miss out on the play-in tournament. However, with seven games remaining on the schedule and only a half game separating themselves and the ninth-place Lakers, there is still time to make a late run.
