Gameweek 13 in the MLS will see Orlando City taking on Inter Miami at the  Inter&Co Stadium. The hosts are currently in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, while the visitors lead the league standings. Orlando City have stumbled out the blocks this season and enter this match with just 12 points in their first 11 games of the season. They are currently two points below Philadelphia in the final playoff spot and just five points above bottom club New England. However, they did manage a morale-boosting 3-2 away win against Philadelphia Union over the weekend, which brought an end to a three-match winless run, including back-to-back defeats and a draw. Notably, the Lions have performed better in away games than at home, earning just five of their 12-point tally at Inter&Co Stadium (W1 D2 L3). They have failed to win their last three home games, including losses to Toronto and Cincinnati in the last two. Orlando are winless in their last three matches in all competitions against this opponent and were demolished 5-0 when they met in Miami last month. 

Meanwhile, Inter Miami have largely lived up to the hype this season and seems to be the team to beat. They are being pushed, though, by Cincinnati, who are three points behind them on 24 and have a game in hand. Nevertheless, the Herons have been in sublime form since the return of their captain and talisman, Lionel Messi, who was out injured for several weeks over the last two months. Since the Argentine’s return, Inter have rattled off five wins in a row, with the most recent coming on Sunday, when they came from two goals down to beat Montreal 3-2 on the road. That result marked Messi and co’s 35th goal of the season, 14 more than any other team in the Eastern Conference this season. The visitors and have taken 13 points from a possible 18 on the road and are on a three-match win streak. They have also scored three or more goals in four of their last five away games and are the clear favourites in this one.
