We return to the Paycom Centre on Sunday for Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers. The Pacers edged OKC in Game 1 to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will still be scratching their heads over how they went from 15 points up at one point in the fourth quarter of Game 1 to losing by one and going 1-0 down in the series. 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put in another stunning performance with 38 points, but outside of him, few players managed to step up when it mattered. Lu Lort and Jalen Williams combined for just 32 points. 

As a team, OKC shot just 39% from the field and were outrebounded 56-39. However, they notched up a massive 14 steals to the Pacers' one and forced 24 turnovers while committing just six.

However, despite those excellent defensive numbers, the Thunder were unable to stop Tyrese Haliburton from draining the first buzzer-beater for a win in a Finals game since Michael Jordan in 1997. 

Haliburton finished with 14 points and 10 assists, and while no Indiana player got above 20 points, all five starters ended in double digits, while the bench contributed 39 points.

Most impressively, the Pacers got the win despite playing well below their standards, and their confidence will now be sky-high, having stolen home-court advantage.
