New York Knicks vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA

The New York Knicks welcome the Philadelphia 76ers for game five of the teams' Eastern Conference first-round playoff matchup. They lead the series 3-1 and will advance to the semi-finals if they secure victory. The Knicks defeated the Sixers 97-92 last time out to split Philly’s home-court advantage for games three and four. Tom Thibodeau’s men defended home court in the first two fixtures of this series and will be confident of winning here. They have also defeated the Sixers six times in eight meetings this season. After struggling in the first three games, Jalen Brunson came to life in game four. The guard scored a game-high and franchise-playoff-record 47 points. He is averaging over 30 points in this series. The Knicks are likely to be without Mitchell Robinson once again due to injury. Julius Randle is also out injured and will not be involved in the postseason.

The Sixers are facing elimination. Victory here will postpone this and will give them a chance to tie things up at home in game six. Injuries have hampered the team with star centre Joel Embiid playing without being fully fit. Nonetheless, Embiid has made his presence felt. He is averaging a series-high 35 points and scored as Philly won game three 125-114. Tyrese Maxey has been his running mate on offence and is putting up 29 points on average in this series. Embiid has been on the injury report as questionable throughout this series and should be once again. De’Anthony Melton returned from injury to make his postseason debut in game four. Robert Covington however wasn’t available and is likely to miss this trip. Game four was the first time in this series that both the Knicks and Sixers had failed to score 100 points.
