The New York Knicks will be at home to welcome the Detroit Pistons for their next NBA regular season matchup. They are currently fourth in the Eastern Conference while the Pistons are bottom. The Knicks are going through a slump and have managed just two wins in their last eight outings. Tom Thibodeau’s men had won nine straight before this dip in form. Injuries have played a big part in this as they have had to do without two of their starters in this stretch. OG Anunoby and Julius Randle, who are two of their top four scorers, will continue to be out and will not play here. Long-term absentee Mitchell Robinson is also not available. The Knicks, who have won 34 of their 57 games, have won 13 straight against Detroit. They won the first matchup of the season 118-112. A second win will see them secure the regular season spoils with a game to spare. New York are coming off a 116-102 defeat to the Celtics.

The Detroit Pistons will hope to take advantage of the Knicks’ struggles and end their current five-game losing streak. Monty Williams’ men, who have the league’s worst record, were defeated 112-109 last time out by the Magic. This was their 48th defeat in 56 games so far this season. Detroit are struggling on both ends of the court and sit in the bottom eight in both offence and defence. They are scoring 112.8 points a night but are giving up 121.9. Isaiah Stewart will miss this game as he is still suspended. The Pistons are surprisingly scoring the ball better when on the road than at home. They are averaging 113.9 points when away which is two points more than their home average.
