The Denver Nuggets will be away to the New York Knicks for their next NBA regular season fixture. They arrive for the match sitting third in the Western Conference while the Knicks are fifth in the East. The Knicks are in superb form and have won 10 of their last 12 matches and are currently on a four-game winning run. They defeated the Nets 108-103 last time out to register their 27th victory of the season. New York has won the last two meetings with Denver. They should therefore be highly confident of a win in this first matchup of the season. Tom Thibodeau’s men, who are averaging 115.0 points, will have to head out without two of their centres. Mitchell Robinson and Isaiah Hartenstein have both been ruled out due to injuries. This could make it extremely difficult for the hosts to try and contain two-time league MVP Nikola Jokic.

The Nuggets are also in superb form and arrive here having lost just four times in 18 outings. Mike Malone’s men, who have won their last three matches, have the sixth-best record in the NBA. They are coming off a 114-109 victory over the Pacers that took them to 31 wins for the season. The Nuggets are closing out a five-game road trip in the East with this match in New York. And having won nine of the last 11 matchups with their soon-to-be hosts, they will be confident of success here. Denver is an average-scoring team and is putting up 115.9 points a night. Their defence is however excellent and has them ranked sixth in this regard. Vlatko Cancar and Julian Strawther are still sidelined with injuries and will miss this game.
