Madison Square Garden will light up on Monday night for Game 4 of the NBA Playoff series between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics. The Celtics won Game 3 but still trail 2-1 in the series. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After two stunning comebacks in Games 1 and 2, the New York Knicks suffered their first defeat of the series over the weekend, losing 115-93 on Saturday.

New York allowed the C’s to pour in 71 points in the first half and never looked likely to get back in the contest, owing to their poor shooting of 40% from the field and a dismal 5 of 25 from long range. 

While Karl-Anthony Towns managed 21 points, he shot 5 of 18, while OG Anunoby shot just 1 of 6, which was largely due to the excellent defensive work of Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis. 

Meanwhile, after ice-cold nights from beyond the arc in the first two games, the Boston Celtics found their range in Game 3 and drained 20 of their 40 attempts from distance. 

Jayson Tatum shot less than 30% in Games 1 and 2, but was back to his lethal self again at the weekend, making five of nine from long range and providing seven assists. 

However, while the C’s were much better on offence, they also stepped up massively on defence, producing eight blocks, six steals and forcing 11 turnovers.
