The eighth-place Milwaukee Bucks will look to climb the Eastern Conference standings when they host the 12th-place Chicago Bulls on Monday. Milwaukee has certainly experienced a mixed start to the 2023/24 season as they adapt to an overhauled roster and a new coach. They have an excellent opportunity to get their sixth win on the board and improve on their current 5-4 record as they take on a struggling Chicago team at the Fiserv Forum. The Bucks are coming off an extremely disappointing two game road trip which saw them drop both games. The first was a 126-124 defeat to the Pacers which was followed up with a 112-97 loss to the Magic. The good news for Milwaukee fans ahead of this game is that the team is performing well on their home court. The Bucks are 4-1 in front of the home fans which includes winning their last three straight in their own gym.

Chicago looks set for another middling year which has them battling for a lower-end play-in spot. The Bulls finished 10th in the East last season with a 40-42 record and don’t appear to have improved much in the 2023/24 campaign. They sit at a mark of 4-6 on the season and don’t stand out in any particular statistical category as something that the team excels at. There is certainly talent on this roster with the likes of Lavine, DeRozan and Vucevic, but there is a feeling that they might need a complete roster overhaul as they look towards the future. For the time being, Chicago comes into this matchup off the back of a 119-108 win over the Pistons. It was the team’s second win in the last three games, all of which came at home.
