The Miami Heat play host to the Phoenix Suns on Monday with both teams looking to warm up after losing runs. The Heat enter this contest on an ugly six-game losing streak following a 125-109 away defeat to the New York Knicks on Saturday. They now return to South Beach where they have posted a 12-10 record on the season. The hosts have slipped all the way down to seventh in the East standings on their current losing streak, placing them 24-22 on the season. They’re now 2.5 games behind the Pacers for a spot in the top six and automatic qualification to the NBA Playoffs. The Heat will be hoping this is the game that newly-acquired Terry Rozier will be able to truly stamp his arrival in Miami. In his three games played with his new team, Rozier is averaging just 8.67 points per game on 30.3% shooting.

After suffering a 113-98 loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday, the Phoenix Suns will now attempt to get back to winning ways against another Floridian team in the Miami Heat. It was only the third time all season that the Suns have been held to under 100 points and dropped their record on the year to 26-20. Despite the back-to-back defeats, Phoenix has largely been playing at an extremely high level over the last three weeks. They had previously won seven in a row prior to their current losing skid, four of which came on the road. Additionally, the big three of the Suns has looked good in recent weeks, particularly Booker and Durant who have both posted some huge scoring nights recently. Fatigue could be a factor, however, as this will be the second leg of a back-to-back and the team’s third game in the last four days.
