An inter-conference matchup in the NBA sees the Miami Heat hosting the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. The Heat are currently sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 24-19 record while the Grizzlies are struggling at 13th in the West with a record of 16-27. Miami comes into this contest looking to snap out of a three-game losing streak following losses to the Raptors, Hawks and Magic. Their most recent outing was a hugely disappointing 105-87 loss to Orlando, marking Miami’s lowest points total of the 2023/24 season so far. They’ll be hoping a return to the Kaseya Center, where they are 12-8, will provide them with a much-needed lift. The Heat will have to remain focused for this game as it has the potential to be a look-ahead spot with the Celtics coming to town the next night for their matchup on Thursday. 

Memphis continues with their difficult 2023/24 season. They’re currently 13th in the West after finishing first in the conference last season. They’ll be without star point guard Ja Morant for the remainder of the year as the 24-year-old has surgery on his shoulder. The Grizzlies will be looking to build some momentum following a 108-100 road win over the Raptors in their last appearance. The result continues the trend of the Grizzlies this season who have performed much better as the visiting team. When playing in their home gym, Memphis has managed just four wins from 19 outings. Taking to the road, however, sees the Grizz posting a .500 record at 12-12. They come into this game as sizable double-digit underdogs which is a bit surprising considering their opponents recent struggles.
