The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics meet at the FTX Arena in South Beach for game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals to decide who will face off against the Warriors in the NBA Finals. It’s been a rollercoaster series with home court advantage seemingly thrown out the window as the road team has won four of the six games. Boston will attempt to win for a third time in Miami after a huge missed opportunity to close out the series at home after a 111-103 loss in game six. The Heat were led by an all-time performance from star Jimmy Butler who played almost the entire game, totaling 46 minutes played while putting up a stat line of 47 points, nine rebounds and eight assists as well as multiple key steals on the defensive end. The Heat also had support from the likes of Kyle Lowry and Max Strus with 18 points and 13 points, respectively, after the two had struggled greatly in previous games.

With sixth-man of the year winner Tyler Herro looking likely to miss his fourth consecutive game, Miami’s scoring potential sees a huge drop and they will need similar performances from Butler and the role players if they are to advance. Boston was able to call upon their full rotation for game six in a series marred by injuries to key players. The Celtics are the more talented side but will face an incredibly difficult test here away from home against an experienced Miami team. Boston, to their credit, has responded brilliantly after a loss and are 23-13 against the spread for the season and 5-0 in the playoffs this year. It took a 47-point Butler explosion for the Heat to triumph in game six and it was still a tie game with only a few minutes remaining. The Heat very well may have emptied the tank in the last game, with their backs against the wall and fighting for their playoff lives. They will likely need similar performances from Butler and Lowry if they are to win this one while the Celtics should feel more confident with the consistent performances that Tatum and Brown have been able to deliver.
