Meralco Bolts vs Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Prediction & Betting Tips - PBA - Philippine Cup

Barangay Ginebra need one win to book their spot in the finals of the 2020 PBA Philippines Cup as they bring a 2-1 lead into Game 4 of the semis against Meralco Bolts. After qualifying top of the league phase, Ginebra went past Rain or Shine 81-73 in the quarters and won games 1 and 3 in the semis. Meralco overpowered San Miguel 2-0 in the quarters by defeating them 78-71 and 90-68.

The semis saw close matches in the three matches so far, although the first two results came via a 15+ point differential. Ginebra won Game 1 with a 96-79 scoreline as Stanley Pringle top-scored with 19 points, while Earl Thomson picked up nine rebounds and eight assists. Pringle was once again at the core of Ginebra’s game in Game 3 which they won 91-84 to be one win away from reaching the finals. They will now look to prevent the series from going to Game 5 and secure its first All-Filipino finals berth since 2017.

Meralco gave a good account of themselves in Game 2 of the series with Christopher Newsome leading from the front with 16 points and 6 assists. All hopes will be on Allein Maliksi who already has two 20+ games in the series – 24 points in Game 1 and 23 in Game 3. With the series moving to a do-or-die situation, Meralco will hope to take this effort deeper.
