The Memphis Grizzlies will welcome the Golden State Warriors for their next NBA regular season fixture. Both teams are struggling in the Western Conference and sit just one place apart with Golden State in 12th having the advantage. The Grizzlies have lost their last two matches which have all been at home. They were defeated 106-94 by the Knicks last time out. Taylor Jenkins’ men have struggled all season and ironically, they have been at their worst when playing at home. The Grizzlies have registered just three of their total 14 victories at their FedExForum base. They have lost 15 times at home and only the bottom-placed Spurs have a worse record as hosts in the West. Memphis, who have the second worst-ranked offence, are averaging 104.6 points at home. Injuries have decimated the team this season and for this game, at least nine players could be out. Ja Morant is out for the season and so too is Steven Adam. Marcus Smart is out as is Brandon Clarke. Four more players are doubtful including Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Santi Aldama.

The Warriors are coming into this match seeking to get back to winning ways. Steve Kerr’s men were defeated 129-118 away to the Bucks last time out. This was their third loss in four games and left them 2.5 games adrift of the playoff places. The Warriors, who are four games clear of Memphis, have won 18 of 39 matches. Seven of their victories have come away from home. Golden State has lost to Memphis in the last two meetings. They will be eager to get back to winning ways in what is the first matchup of the season between the two. Steph Curry missed the trip to Milwaukee but will be present for this match. It is a big boost as Steph is their leading scorer and on-court leader. There is also a possibility that Draymond Green could be back for this match. Green has been suspended since mid-December and Kerr confirmed that the forward could make his return this week. Chris Paul and Gary Payton II remain sidelined with injuries while Moses Moody is ‘Questionable’.
