The Memphis Grizzlies host the Dallas Mavericks at the FedExForum for this Western Conference NBA matchup. The drama continues to circulate around the Grizzlies with their star player Ja Morant set to miss out on this game although is expected to return to the team very soon. However, as they did last season, this young team has shown themselves to be much more than simply their star point guard. The Grizzlies have now won six of their last seven games with their most recent outing ending in a satisfying 133-119 home win over the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Memphis has been nearly faultless at the FedExForum this season, racking up an impressive 29 wins and suffering only five defeats as we approach the final stretch of the regular season. Memphis is tied with the Kings for the second seed in the Western Conference and has closed the gap on the first-place Nuggets to just four games. 

Dallas is coming off a hugely important win over the LA Lakers in their last game. Maxi Kleber was the hero of the day, hitting the game winning three pointer to give his team a 111-110 win. The win marks the second in a row for the Mavs, each coming away from home. Dallas has struggled away from home this season and will hope that this recent surge in road form will act as a good omen for the upcoming playoffs. The Mavericks currently sit sixth in the West with a record of 36 wins and 35 defeats. They’re still involved in a very tight race in the bottom half of the West playoff picture as a number of teams sit within three games of each other, meaning we are still likely to see plenty of movement in the final few weeks.
