The Memphis Grizzlies will host the reeling Brooklyn Nets looking to get back to winning ways in the NBA. Both teams are struggling in their respective conferences with the Nets 11th in the East and the Grizzlies 13th in the West. Memphis are coming off a 101-95 defeat by the Clippers that ended a run of two successive wins. Taylor Jenkins’ men had won back-to-back games before the All-Star break. One of those wins was a shocking 113-110 victory over the Bucks. Having dominated this matchup with the Nets over the years, the Grizzlies will be confident of a win here. They have won eight of the last 10 meetings between the two. The injury-plagued Southwest Division franchise will have six players unavailable for this game. Among the absentees are Brandon Clarke, Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, and Ja Morant. Memphis are averaging 106.9 points a night which is the worst tally so far.

The Nets have been one of the worst teams in the league in February and have won just twice in 10 outings. They are currently on a four-game skid. This downward spiral forced through a coaching change during the All-Star break. Jacque Vaughn was dismissed with assistant Kevin Ollie taking charge on an interim basis. Ollie has been in charge of the last two matches which have all been on the road. The Nets were defeated 101-86 last time out by the Timberwolves. This was their 35th defeat in 56 outings this season and left them 3.5 games off of a play-in spot. Dariq Whitehead will miss this game with a shin problem while Ben Simmons has been listed as ‘Questionable’. The Nets are averaging 112.5 points a game.
