Juventus are under pressure to win their first UEFA Champions League match of the campaign when they face Malmo away on Tuesday. The Bianconeri have yet to win a Serie A match three games into the season, drawing once and losing twice. The poor run comes after a summer in which Cristiano Ronaldo departed and Andrea Pirlo was replaced as manager by Max Allegri. This spell is Allegri's second as coach of the first team, his last reaping five league titles and two UCL final appearances. He left in 2019, and Juventus have been on a downward slide since, finishing fourth last season, missing out on the title for the first time since 2010-11. Even without Ronaldo, Allegri has a fine squad of players at his disposal, including many Italian stars from Euro 2020, like Chiellini, Bonucci and Chiesa. It is only a matter of time before the Old Lady picks up results, but her fans are notoriously impatient when it comes to success. Their frustrations are valid when it comes to the club's performances in recent UCL campaigns, with the most recent one ending in the Round of 16 at the hands of Porto. A club of Juventus' stature and resources is capable of making it to the latter stages. 

We don't expect Malmo to do much against Juventus, partially due to their poor recent form. They're beyond the campaign's halfway mark and sit second in the table, two points behind leaders AIK. Just one win from their previous five matches suggests they will struggle to catch their rivals, who have a game in hand. The last time Malmo and Juventus were drawn in the same group (2014-15), Juventus won both meetings 2-0. We think that Allegri would take that result now. Back Juve to win 2-0.
