Magda Linette, the 31st seed at the China Open, will play 17th seed Mirra Andreeva in the competition’s fourth round. Let’s look at the prediction for this match set for Wednesday.

Linette has already defeated Andreeva this year and a second victory will see her play Amanda Anisimova or Qinwen Zheng next. Linette is coming off a big win that will for sure boost her confidence even more.

The Pole, who has struggled all year, saw off world number five Jasmine Paolini in straight sets. That marked her first top-10 victory of the year and improved her record to 27-23.

Linette, a strong player on hard courts, has struggled this season on the surface, losing 13 of 21 matches.

Mirra Andreeva defeated Linette in their first career matchup, last year in Madrid on her breakout tour season. As she has been in fine form this year, she will be confident of another win in their first encounter outside clay.

The young Russian progressed to this round at the expense of 16th seed Donna Vekic. Andreeva won in three sets after clawing herself from a loss in the first for the second time in the competition.
