Maccabi Tel Aviv will be at home against Anadolu Efes on Match Day 3 of the 2024/25 EuroLeague season. Going into the Tuesday match, let’s have a look at the stats and a prediction.

Efes in sixth place have a slight points advantage over Maccabi who are seventh. Maccabi lost by six points on Match Day 2 away to Monaco after starting the season with an 89-82 victory over ASVEL. 

Back at home, they’ll be eager to maintain their 100% record there. Oded Kattash’s men have averaged 84 points per contest so far in Europe, the seventh-best tally.

Defensively, however, they seem to have problems as they are allowing 83.5 points a game placing them 13th in that regard. Jordan Loyd, Jaylen Hoard and Jasiel Rivero have been key for them offensively, and will be the ones to watch.

Rokas Jokubaitis, who has featured in Maccabi’s first two EuroLeague matches, will not be available due to injury.

Anadolu Efes lost on their last two trips to Maccabi and hope to avoid a repeat. They have a strong record in this fixture winning five of the last eight meetings.

The last time they met in Europe, Efes won a 14-point blowout and also had a dominant 23-point pre-season win last month. Tomislav Mijatovic’s men are also coming off a defeat on Match Day 2.

After beginning the season with a 76-67 victory away to Bologna, they were beaten 83-78 at home by Fenerbahce. That saw their nine-match winning run drawing from preseason come to an end.

However, the Turkish heavyweights responded to the defeat with a 99-78 domestic league win over Bursaspor. Efes are averaging 77 points in the EuroLeague and allowing 75.

Daniel Oturu is hitting 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds and leads the league in the performance index.
