French giants Olympique Lyon are favorites to advance to the Europa League quarter-finals when they host FC Steaua Bucharest. These two sides meet on Thursday for the return leg of their last 16 tie, which Lyon lead 3-1. The winner here will face either Manchester United or Real Sociedad and here’s our preview and prediction.
Lyon are on the rise and will head into this game eyeing a fourth win on the bounce. Over the weekend they claimed a fifth win in six matches when they beat Nice 2-0 away from home. With a six-match unbeaten run in the Europa League, Lyon will be charged up for this match.
FCSB have a big task here; they must win by at least two unanswered goals to secure their stay in Europe. While the Romanians haven't been spectacular in Europe, they’ve done what they needed to do when called upon.
