It's not been the easiest of weeks for Luke Littler but he's in his first World Matchplay Darts final. The world champion faces James Wade in the final in Blackpool. Can 'Nuke' complete the triple crown with a win over Wade? Read our match prediction.
This match is being played over the best of 35 legs. Littler is playing in this tournament for only the second time. He lost in round one last year but has battled his way to the final in 2025.
He has been making some slow starts this week and trailed against both Jermaine Wattimena in round two and in Saturday's semi-final win over Josh Rock. Littler hit a nine-darter in that 17-14 win over Rock and averaged 107.5.
Three of his four matches this week have seen Littler end with a 100+ average with a tournament highest of 108.92 in round one.
James Wade is the ninth seed (seven below Litller) and won this title in 2007 just a few months after his opponent was born. He has been in top form this week and in his semi-final beat Jonny Clayton 20-18 with a 101.79 average.
He's also had a 100+ average in three matches with a highest of 104.44. We tip Wade to win on a +6.5 legs handicap.
