The Minnesota Timberwolves will be away to the LA Lakers seeking to get back to winning ways in the NBA. They have dropped to second in the West standings while the Lakers have moved up to eighth. The Lakers are in exceptional form. They have won nine of their last 10 games and are currently on a four-match winning run. They defeated the Cavaliers 116-97 at home last time out to move into eighth place with a half-a-game cushion. With four games to play in the regular season, they will now try to avoid the play-in altogether. LA are 1.5 games from the automatic playoff places. They defeated the Timberwolves at home the last time the two teams met. A second win will see them draw this series at 2-2. Jarred Vanderbilt and Christian Wood remain sidelined and will not play here. The Lakers have averaged 123 points over their last three games.
