Eighth-place Washington Wizards will be out to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the playoffs as they collide with 19th-place Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 of the Las Vegas Summer League series tonight. With AJ Dybantsa and Tre Johnson sitting out, No. 5 overall pick Keaton Wagler emerges the biggest star on the floor tonight. The 6-foot-6 guard has improved steadily, averaging a solid 19.5 points per game in his last two appearances, hence our prediction backing him for another strong performance.

Keaton Wagler had a quiet night on his Summer League debut against the Sacramento Kings in the Los Angeles Clippers’ opening game, scoring just seven points from a 1-of-7 shooting. However, he exploded for a joint-game-leading 23 points in his second appearance, shooting 6-of-16 from the field to inspire the Clippers to a dominant 104–82 victory over the Utah Jazz. 

The Los Angeles Clippers suffered a 99–85 defeat in Game 3 last night to the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award Winner put up another strong showing, scoring 16 points to bring his two-game average to 19.5 points per game.

The Washington Wizards were pegged back last night with a 99–87 defeat to the Chicago Bulls after back-to-back wins. They struggled defensively in that game, and with AJ Dybantsa and Tre Johnson sitting out, the Wizards are likely to struggle matching Keaton Wagler’s impact at both ends of the floor.
