The spiraling Utah Jazz will be away to the LA Clippers seeking to snap their current losing run in the NBA. LA come to this game sitting fourth in the West standings while the Jazz are almost 20 games adrift in 12th place. The Clippers seem to have tightened their grip on fourth place thanks to their recent upturn in form. Ty Lue’s men have won four of their last five games and now sit two games clear of their closest challengers. The Clippers are coming off a morale boosting 102-100 victory over the Nuggets. This was the perfect response to seeing a three match winning run snapped by the Kings. The Clippers, who will still be without Kawhi Leonard, have compiled a 48-28 record. Automatic playoff qualification is however not yet assured as they are three games from the play-in. Joshua Primo will also sit out here due to injury. The Clippers won 117-103 back in December, the last time they faced off with Utah. They have averaged 109 points over their last three matches.

The Jazz have lost their last 10 matches. This is the longest they have gone without a win in over 40 years. It keeps getting worse for Will Hardy’s men who have now lost more than they did last season. Mind you, they still have six matches left to play. Since the tail end of January, the Jazz have managed just seven wins in a 34-game stretch. This has left them with a 29-47 record. Utah, who won the first matchup of the season with the Clippers 120-118, were defeated 129-113 last time out by the Cavaliers. Brice Sensabaugh tied his career high in the game as he managed 22 points to lead his team. The 20-year-old will again be expected to do the heavy lifting in offence with Jordan Clarkson, John Collins and Lauri Markkanen still injured. Utah have averaged 106.3 points over their last three games.
