The Los Angeles Lakers will make the short trip to the Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. The hosts are 37-19 and fourth in the Western Conference, while the visitors are 31-28 and tenth in the Conference standings. 

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in relatively good form, winning seven of their last ten games overall. However, they will be looking to bounce back from a 123-113 road loss to the Suns in this one. LeBron James led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds, and 12 assists, while Anthony Davis contributed 22 points and 13 rebounds. The Lakers are the NBA’s 13th-ranked scoring squad (116.9 PPG), while the Clippers are 10th at preventing opponents from scoring (112.9). The Lakers score 117.6 points per game at home and 116.2 on the road. However, the Laker's defense has struggled this season, allowing an average of 117.4 points per game, placing them 19th overall in points allowed. The Lakers are 28th in three-pointer attempts allowed per game and last in field-goal attempts made against them. Christian Wood, Jarred Vanderbilt and Gabe Vincent are likely to miss out here. 

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been performing well, winning seven of their last 11 games, but they aim for a better showing after a 123-107 loss to the Kings. Norman Powell led the team with 21 points on eight of 17 shooting, while Kawhi Leonard and James Harden scored 20 points each. The Clippers currently rank 10th in the NBA's scoring charts, averaging 117.6 points per game, while the Lakers rank 18th in points per game allowed, at 117.4. Interestingly, the Clippers have scored at a lower rate in home games compared to away games in the 2023-24 season (116.9 at home versus 118.2 on the road). Defensively, the Clippers allow an average of 112.9 points per game, ranking them tenth overall in the league. Unfortunately, the Clippers will be without Paul George for Wednesday's game due to a knee injury.
