Manchester City remained second in the English Premier League after the weekend's fixtures. Their attention now turns to the League Cup and they travel to Leicester City. Pep Guardiola will again make changes of course but at the weekend he left Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne on the bench and they still beat Everton 3 at home. They have the strongest squad in the Premier League and will be a major force in this competition as they bid to retain the trophy they won last season. City have only lost one of their last 19 league and cup matches and one of the last 16 on the road with just three losses in the last 24 League Cup matches . They have beaten Oxford United and Fulham to reach the last sixteen and are yet to concede a goal in the competition this season.

Leicester City would love nothing more than to win a trophy this season after the tragedy of losing their owner. Form has dropped in recent weeks though with just one point from three league games dropping them to 12th in the table. Wins against the top sides have been few and far between in the past couple of seasons. They have lost their last four games against Manchester City including in the League Cup last year when being knocked out on penalties. Leicester have only scored in one of their last four home games and over 90 minutes only have one win in six. This looks booked for a Manchester City away win.
