Fifth placed Lazio have to bounce back from a 3-0 home defeat by Inter last weekend. They have an easier task this time around as Lazio host 15th placed SPAL and will be confident of getting the three points. Lazio had won their last three games before losing to Inter with two league victories and a win away at Marseille in the Europa League. They had also won three straight home league games and it takes a top team to beat them on home territory with the only other home defeat this season being by Napoli.
SPAL saw their season get off to a good start with three wins in their first four games. They were flying high in the table but have been sinking ever since with four straight league defeats. An away win at Roma looked to have steadied them but that was followed by a 3-0 home defeat by Frosinone. Four of their last six away league games have ended in defeat and they are down to 15th in the table six points above the relegation zone. This looks booked for a home win.
