Lazio - Juventus: Form Analysis
An unconvincing run from Lazio this season was expected, and they haven't disappointed. The Capital side has registered just two wins from the opening seven league matches.
Right before this game, Maurizio Sarri’s men posted back-to-back draws. The most recent of them was a 0-0 outcome at Atalanta. Earlier, they did a poor job in trying to hold onto the lead in a match that ended 3-3 against Torino.
Losses to archrivals Roma, newly promoted Sassuolo, and the fast-rising Como make it difficult to place Lazio. They do have a good run against Juventus at home, winning three of four.
Lazio are unbeaten in their last four home matches against Juventus.
Juventus have the air of stagnation around them. It is difficult to single out an area of growth in Juventus’ performances. After playing to a string of draws, things got worse in their last two matches.
Juventus are coming off two straight defeats. First it was in the Serie A, losing 2-0 to Como, and after that in the Champions League at Real Madrid, a 1-0 defeat.
They have now failed to win any of their last seven matches and also failed to score in three straight. The pressure on manager Igor Tudor is starting to get uncomfortable.

Lazio will be desperate to get back to winning ways, and they seem to have the goals in them. Midfielder Mattia Zaccagni is back from injury, and he bears a good omen. In each of the last 12 matches he scored in, Lazio went on to win.

Matteo Cancellieri, scorer of three goals, is out with a muscle injury. He won’t return until sometime in November, so Lazio must improvise.

At Juventus, maybe it is time to shake things up a bit. Dusan Vlahovic has fallen out of Igor Tudor’s favor, starting only two of seven matches. He has two goals so far in the league and could be a good option for a change.
No other player in the team has two goals. However, Kenan Yildiz has proven to be a key man in that attack line, with four goal contributions. He scored once and provided three assists in the league.
Whatever shake-ups the manager does, we don’t expect Yildiz to be moved from the front three.
