Terrafirma Dyip will look to play spoilsport when they come up against the top-ranked Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the 2020 PBA Philippines Cup. Terrafirma are bottom of the standings with a win-loss record of 1-8 and are already eliminated out of the quarter-final race. Ginebra are top of the pile with a 7-3 record sharing it with TNT Tropang Giga, but are still looking to confirm their spot in the top-four.

Terrafirma come into this match on the back of a 95-93 loss to Meralco Bolts in their last cup match. This tight loss came on the back of their 110-101 win over Blackwater, which was their first win in the competition this year. They have lost eight matches so far in the cup competition and five of those have come with at least a 11-point margin. They have already lost 112-101 to TNT KaTropa who are Ginebra’s nearest competitors for the top-spot.

Ginebra lost 81-66 to San Miguel Beermen on Sunday in their last match, losing a chance to go solo top in the tally. Jaspeth Aguilar top-scored for Ginebra with 13 points in that match while Thompson and Mariano were the only ones to score in double digits for the side. This loss halted a three-match winning run for Ginebra and they will be wary of multiple losses – the only time in this year competition they lost a game, Ginebra went on to lose two.
