Sebastian Korda and Jenson Brooksby will face off in the second round of the French Open. These two are meeting for the first time in history, and the winner will progress to meet Pablo Carreno-Busta or Frances Tiafoe. We have a prediction for the match below.

Brooksby’s return to the French Open came with a first. In his initial two appearances here, the American fell in the first round, but this time he gets to play in the second for the first time ever.

He booked his slot after a four-set win over Jaime Faria in the first round. Brooksby will want more of that, having struggled on the European clay swing this season.

Korda hasn’t been at his best in terms of fitness but will be grateful to make it this far. He took advantage of Luciano Darderi’s own physical troubles to advance to this stage.

In the first round, the Italian needed a medical timeout for a problematic ankle. With his movement curtailed, Korda made the most of it to win 3-1. With that, he recovered from the early loss to Jaume Munar at the Rome Masters.

He will be making an attempt to win two matches at one event for the first time in four tournaments. His experience should lift him past Brooksby, who has found it difficult to win in Europe.
