Seventh seed Jasmine Paolini and 12th seed Madison Keys will meet in the fourth round of the 2024 WTA Wimbledon Championships. The winner here will play the winner of the match between Cori Gauff and Emma Navarro in the quarter-finals.

It is no surprise that Jasmine Paolini is having her best-ever campaign at Wimbledon and on grass. She has been one of the more in-form players in the circuit this season and has produced career-highs at almost every tournament. It is thus not a surprise to see predictions of her going all the way here.

Before this year, Paolini had never won a single fixture at SW19 and now she is in the second week of the competition. The Italian, who is yet to lose a set in the tournament, defeated Bianca Andreescu in the third round. Her fifth win on grass improved her record to 27-12. It also allowed her to move up to sixth in the live ranking which is a new career high.

Madison Keys is much more experienced on grass and is one of the best performers on the surface in the WTA. Coupling this with her head-to-head advantage over Paolini, she will be confident of securing another last-eight spot at Wimbledon.

Keys, who made the Wimbledon quarter-finals last year for a second time, defeated Paolini in Dubai last season. She dominated in that encounter, losing just two games. The two were also set to battle six months later in Montreal before Keys pulled out due to injury.

Keys has qualified for the second week at the All England Club for a third successive season. Also, yet to lose a set in the tournament, she defeated Marta Kostyuk for the second successive year in the third round. The two had battled in the third round last season with Keys, the world number 13, winning again in straight sets.
