Ireland take on Scotland in their final matches in Pool B of the 2023 Rugby World Cup. South Africa top the pool with Ireland in second, four points ahead of opponents Scotland in third. It's been an impressive tournament so far for Ireland who top the world rankings. They have won all three of their matches scoring 141 points in the expected wins over Romania and Tonga. The key game for them has been against defending champions South Africa, winning that one 13-8. A win over Scotland  or a defeat by less than seven points will see them win the pool. They have an excellent record against their opponents beating them in their last eight matches. 

Scotland haven't beaten Ireland since 2017 and it's 13 years since they beat them away from home. A win on Saturday will see them qualify for the quarter finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup as long as Ireland don't get a bonus point. The Scottish side has been playing catch-up in this pool since being beaten by South Africa in their opening game. Since then they have had wins over Tonga and Romania with 129 points scored. They didn't even concede a point against Romania. This clearly is a different league and the last meeting between these two teams saw Ireland win 22-7 away from home. Their last two meetings with Scotland  have seen them only concede 12 points. Ireland are the pick for us in this match.
