La Vuelta - Stage 10 Predictions & Betting tips - International

Stage 10 of La Vuelta is on full of small hills to climb, a trio of Category 3 climbs and a few more which are uncategorised. That gives the peloton plenty to think about on a day where the stronger sprinters or puncheurs like Matthew Brennan should come to the fore. 

Brennan already has a pair of stage wins in La Vuelta. The first of came in a similarly punchy stage to this one, before winning a more typical sprint stage. This is going to be to his liking and he will fancy a chance to pick up a third win of the race. 

There have not been many over the last few years who have been better when it comes to a stage with this sort of terrain than Mads Pedersen. He had been a little off the pace until a second place on Stage 8 which suggested he might be finding his legs.

The green jersey in this race is currently on the back of Wout van Aert. That is more because of his third place in the hills on Stage 7 but he will be keen to get involved to try and retain the top spot in the standings, even though his main role will probably be leading out Brennan. 

Jordi Meeus was runner-up to Brennan on Stage 5 with Alessandro Romele back in fourth. The pair were also both in the top six on Stage 8 so they will be hoping to continue their run of form on the sprint stages.
