Inter Miami vs CF Montreal Prediction & Betting Tips - Major League Soccer

Two sides that have made promising starts to the 2024 MLS season will square off this weekend when Inter Miami take on Montreal on Sunday. The hosts currently lead the Eastern Conference, while the visitors are fourth. Having re-enforced their squad over the off-season, Inter Miami are already looking like a force in the early stages of the current campaign. They have shot to lead the league with seven points after their first three matches and have already banged in eight goals in that time. Five of those goals came in the last match, where they beat Orlando City at home, maintaining their 100% winning record on home soil after two games. Prior to that result, the Herrons overcame Real Salt Lake 2-0 and played out a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy a week later. Aside from the league competition, the hosts managed a 2-2 draw in their opening Concacaf Champions Cup match against Nashville in midweek. Last season, these sides won one game apiece against each other, but the hosts are the clear favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, after an underwhelming tenth-placed finish last season, Montreal will be quite pleased with the start they have made in the current campaign. They have played two games so far, drawing goalless with Orlando City in their season opener before claiming a 2-1 win over Dallas last week, with Josef Martinez and Jules-Anthony Vilsaint both finding the target. Perhaps more impressively, though, both those results came on the road, where they lost each of their final four fixtures last season. They will need to keep that momentum going with another three away games to follow this one before they play their first home game of the season in mid-April against Cincinnati. Montreal won the last match against this opponent 1-0 last season and cannot be written off in this one.
