Inter Milan missed out on European football last season finishing in seventh place, a point behind a Europa League place and even worse they were pipped by AC Milan. It was a troublesome season with a terrible start and an early exit from the Europa League. Home form last season was a bit inconsistent but they ended up winning 11 league games which isn't too bad a return but they only won one of their last five and that's why they're not in Europe this season. They have made some good signings during the summer including Matias Vecino from today's opponents and defenders Dalbert from Nice and Milan Skriniar from Sampdoria. Fiorentina finished a place and two points behind Inter last season. Away form was the problem with nine defeats and they didn't win any of their final four again costing them a place in the Europa League while only losing one home league game all season.  Their summer spending spree has included new centre forward Giovanne Simeoni from Genoa and Marco Benassi from Torino. Pre-season has been good for Inter with four wins out of five and with home advantage they can get the win here.
