The Indiana Pacers will look to snap out of a two game losing streak when they host the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Indiana is currently sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 27-22 record. They face the West’s fifth-placed Sacramento Kings who have amassed a record of 27 wins and 19 defeats on the season. The Pacers are coming off a tough two-game stretch against two of the East’s best teams when they took on the Celtics and the Knicks, both of which took place on the road. They managed to keep things extremely close in both contests but would ultimately come up short with two losses. They fell 129-124 to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday and 109-104 to the Knicks last night. The Kings saw their impressive five-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday after a 115-106 away defeat to the Miami Heat. It was the first defeat of Sacramento’s current lengthy seven-game road trip. The away team started out their trip with a perfect three wins from three over the Warriors, Mavs and Grizzlies. They’ll now attempt to bounce back against another Eastern Conference team as they look to close the gap on the fourth-place Nuggets who they currently trail by 4.5 games. Sacramento has put up solid results regardless of whether they are playing on home soil or hostile away territory. They’re 14-8 at the Golden 1 Center and a respectable 13-11 on the road. This has the makings of a shootout considering Sacramento finished as the highest scoring team in the NBA last season and will now face the current season’s top-scoring squad.
